The campaign aims to build a fairer sector following its six commitments for more diversity and inclusion

Today the Spanish Association of Video Games (AEVI) announced the launch of #PlayEquall, an initiative that will reinforce commitments to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

The organization said that the program is essential to help move the Spanish games industry move forward.

#PlayEquall was drawn up by various video game companies to develop six specific commitments towards the establishment of a fairer sector.

The six commitments in part will promote discrimination free spaces, establish more equitable studios, encourage more favorable talent development in game companies.

The promises also say to actively confront harassment, build equitable representation in video games, and be considerate of all forms of diversity and equality for within games, teams, and so forth.

"#PlayEquall is a call from the industry to adopt a clear position in favor of diversity, equality and inclusion in the sector, inviting all industry players to actively participate in the commitment to these values," said general director of AEVI José María Moreno.
